Please describe your current job responsibilities:
I oversee all individual giving efforts for the school including Annual Fund, Major Gifts, and Planned Giving. I also represent the school at local and regional events. I serve as the main liaison for our Board of Advisors.

What is something important you learned while you were at Winston and how did it prepare you for high school and beyond?
At Winston, I learned that everyone learns differently and there is no wrong way to learn. I think this has served me in my life beyond Winston by making me a better collaborator and colleague. I'm very open to how others need to learn and work. Understanding that everyone's journey is different and that a variety of perspectives is needed has been an invaluable lesson.

What advice do you have for current students to make the most of their experience at Winston and beyond?
LISTEN. Listen to your teachers, your peers, and most importantly yourself. Challenge yourself to take on projects and tasks that you wouldn't have previously thought possible. Attending a school like Winston is an opportunity to learn about yourself and develop skills in a supportive and safe environment. Not everyone gets this kind of opportunity -- it is so special and valuable!

How did you think about yourself as a student/How did you think about school before & after attending Winston?
I was always interested in school and strove to be a good student, but struggled prior to coming to Winston. I remember after coming to Winston that the support and skills I was learning at the school very quickly allowed me to become the student I had always wanted to be. After moving on, I was able to continue to apply those skills myself and was a much more self-reliant and successful student in High School, College, and Graduate School.
