At Winston, we strongly believe in the extended school day and the extended school year. The Winston Center for Learning (WCL) encompasses five major student-centered programs:
  • Summer Academic and Enrichment Camps
  • After-School Enrichment
  • ISEE/HSPT Prep classes
  • Homework Center
  • Tutoring
WCL continues to explore new components to the Center to better meet the needs of our community. We continue to build our acclaimed Speaker Series to engage our parent community and beyond with pertinent speakers and topics. Learn more HERE.
  • Summer on The Hill is a thriving summer camp program that concentrates on Academics in the morning session and offers a choice of Enrichment or Specialty Academics in the afternoon session. Camp is in session for six weeks. Parents may opt for as many weeks as they like or start with one and add more weeks throughout the summer. Each week’s lessons are self-contained to make scheduling easy.
  • After-School Enrichment classes traditionally offered are: Legos, Minecraft, Baking, Basketball, Chess, Musical Instruments, and more. These one-hour classes run in seasonal sessions, one day per week, and offer staff and students an opportunity to explore their shared interests in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.

  • ISEE and HSPT Prep Classes are offered in the fall, spring, and summer. These classes focus on test-taking strategies, as well as content in Math and LAR. The ISEE is used for Independent School entrance; the HSPT is used for Catholic School entrance.

  • Homework Center offers students the opportunity to complete their homework after school. Students learn to do their homework independently, but with teacher guidance when necessary.

  • Private Tutoring with one of our teachers is available by request. Please submit an inquiry form here to learn more.
I look forward to working with you and your child. Please reach out with any questions.
