The Mission Statement

The Winston School educates students who, though intellectually capable, have had difficulties in school typically due to language-based learning disabilities.
The goal of The Winston School is to enable our students to meet, with confidence, the academic and social challenges of life.
The Winston School fosters the potential and optimism in each child by cultivating intellectual, social, and emotional growth in a positive and stimulating environment.

Who We Are

A Snapshot of The Winston School

The Winston School, an independent, non-profit coeducational day school, draws students in grades 1 – 8 from public and private elementary and middle schools from several communities within commuting distance of Short Hills, New Jersey. Winston is located in an historic building in a beautiful, wooded section of Short Hills, where a gymnasium, playground, and soccer field accommodate the physical education program, and bright, attractive classrooms welcome the students each day.
